Walter Kohan (University of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil) and Andreas Novy (Vienna University of Economics and Business, Austria) in dialogue with Gerald Faschingeder.

In 2020, Walter Kohan wrote a fundamental work on the philosophical foundations of Freire’s thinking, the chapters of which are devoted to equality, love, errantry and childhood. For the economist Andreas Novy, Freire’s idea of making the oppressed the subject of political transformation has been a key inspiration throughout his career.  Can these terms help to understand Freire in a new and better way?
